Federal Legal Status

Our products are NOT firearms under federal law. According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF):

  • 80% lowers and unfinished receivers are not considered firearms
  • They do not require serial numbers
  • No FFL transfer is required
  • No background check (NICS) is needed
  • They can be shipped directly to your door

However, once you complete manufacturing into a functional firearm, it must comply with all applicable firearm laws.

  2. Ensuring you are not a prohibited person (felon, domestic violence offender, etc.)
  3. Being at least 21 years old (18 for rifle components)
  4. Properly manufacturing the component into a functional firearm
  5. Serializing if required by state law after completion
  6. Registering if required by state law
  7. Only manufacturing firearms for personal use (not for resale)

IT IS ILLEGAL TO: Manufacture a firearm if you are prohibited from possessing firearms under federal or state law.
