Federal Legal Status
Our products are NOT firearms under federal law. According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF):
- 80% lowers and unfinished receivers are not considered firearms
- They do not require serial numbers
- No FFL transfer is required
- No background check (NICS) is needed
- They can be shipped directly to your door
However, once you complete manufacturing into a functional firearm, it must comply with all applicable firearm laws.
Customer Responsibilities
YOU ARE LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Verifying local laws before purchasing
- Ensuring you are not a prohibited person (felon, domestic violence offender, etc.)
- Being at least 21 years old (18 for rifle components)
- Properly manufacturing the component into a functional firearm
- Serializing if required by state law after completion
- Registering if required by state law
- Only manufacturing firearms for personal use (not for resale)
IT IS ILLEGAL TO: Manufacture a firearm if you are prohibited from possessing firearms under federal or state law.
Product Characteristics
What we sell:
- 80% Lowers - Unfinished receivers requiring machining
- Glock Slides - Stripped or complete slides
- P80 Kits - Polymer80 frame kits
- P80 Slides - Compatible slide assemblies
These are NOT:
- Complete firearms
- Ready-to-shoot weapons
- Serialized firearms
- Products requiring FFL transfer
All products require additional work to become functional firearms.
Manufacturing Safety
SAFETY FIRST - Improper manufacturing can cause serious injury or death.
- Use proper tools and safety equipment
- Follow instructions carefully for your specific product
- Test fire from a safe distance initially
- Wear eye protection during machining and testing
- Check headspace on completed firearms
- Use quality ammunition for testing
- Consult professionals if unsure about any step
We are not responsible for injuries resulting from improper manufacturing or use.
State & Local Restrictions
Some states and localities RESTRICT or BAN unfinished firearm components. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to know your local laws.
States with known restrictions include:
- California - Requires serialization and registration
- New York - May require permits or licensing
- New Jersey - Strict regulations on unfinished receivers
- Connecticut - Requires serialization and registration
- Massachusetts - May be considered firearms
- Washington - Recently enacted restrictions
- Illinois (Chicago area) - Local ordinances may apply
